IFC export ignoring rotation and elevation of survey point

Hi! we are exporting an IFC with General parametric export, and mapping the model position using the "survey point only". The survey point is placed in the model pointing at the desired north angle, and with an elevation of -35500mm because the collaborating architects are working in revit, and using a different project origin.

When we export the IFC, its using the correct point for the origin, but it ignores the rotation and elevation of the survey point. What are we missing?

this is the outcome. the project origin is positioned in the correct place, but the model is not correctly rotated and the height is ignored.

Have you tried the "Survey Point and Project Origin" option?

You would of course would have to set the Survey Point properly in Archicad before IFC export.

Hello friends,

I spent a few hours on this issue last friday and I'm currently working on a protocol for our office.

we need to recoginze that autodesk has a problem witj ifc import: Imported IFC files are inserted with incorrect coordinates and rotation angle values in Revit
Draw the project near / in a sencible relation to the 0,0. (Usually I use a survey grid cross)
Draw the project with a sensible rotation to our screen (usualy the predominan direction) and rotate the north to the "true north"
Make auxialiary slabs/objects so that in revit they can rotate the project and assign the true North to their project after they link the IFC.
I don't use the archicad ifc to revit plugin, most of our engineeringt eams use the latest Revit version and GS takes too long to update the plugin. I just use the IFC plugin from Autodesk Github.

This is an ongoing work that i'm doing. I'm now starting to study how to have the storys working correctly..... WIP
