Why not spend the excess of money on something more useful...climate for example...

Very funny:
I can see myself running around the ground floor trying to catch up the entrance:
"stop,wait for me!"
I hate the approach: "the building will move for you...
And what happens when the tenant above turns on a different axis? The cross section is not circular so there is a pretty good chance you'll have his floor projecting over yours.
And imagine your neighbor going on holidays, leaving his apartment on an inconvenient (for you) rotation
"eh, can you leave me a key to your apartment? I might want to turn it around, it is blocking my sky..."

my closest encounter to this thing is a high rise where the top floor rotates, but this one blew me away....driving this morning to the office i was thinking about the same thing you quoted: what a waste of energy unless wind or solar driven...it seems we are not helping planet hearth with this machine but i can assure u this guy is selling.

i went to eat at one of those revolving restaurants once. a friend inadvertently put her bag on a part of the floor that didn't move next to the table. she had chase around the building for it an hour later . . .

Architecture can be as rigid as an old school principle, some flexibility won’t hurt.
In fact many top architects are pushing the limits of design in order to achieve a shape that looks as if it’s in motion. So why not go all the way and get it over with…
Not to mention how our environment itself does not (once created) make an effort to adjust for our ever changing needs or wants… what is it… the army?
Welcome the future. Where our surrounding environment is as understanding as a therapist.
And to the Graphisoft management reading this… it is time to include motion simulation in AC.

architecture is supposed to be exciting: cutting edge technology, innovative, creative, these are words used by architects to win proposals !! …….the word obtuse shouldn’t be an option for anyone : draftmen, programmers, salesmen, teachers, anyone.

the lack of excitement about this subject here in this forum make sense though.

While I welcome new experiments, I was completely insulted with the tone of the text: claiming that a "skyscraper with rotating floors" is a new 'era' in architecture is not going to help convince architects.
