Hi,

I've downloaded them from here
<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/products/arch ... nload.html">http://www.graphisoft.com/products/archicad/solutions/cinema4d_download.html</LINK_TEXT>
but I couldn't get them to work. When I go to "Create New Object With Cinema 4D" (from 3D window), C4D is launched, but no data exchange is made (and the "Plugins" menu doesn't contain any ArchiCAD reference).
Maybe someone else knows something about this?

Cheers.
Have you tried selecting an object within the perspective window and then 'edit object in c4d' from the plug-in selection. It works for me.
I tried opening c4d from the floor plan and also got nothing!!

Also there is a sperate plug-in for the cinima 4d side of things... have you installed both the c4d plug and the archicad plug?

Are you refering to this?:

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.maxon.net/pages/solutions/ar ... cad_e.html">http://www.maxon.net/pages/solutions/archicad/archicad_e.html</LINK_TEXT>

This is talking about the Material Exchange plugin, which is different to the Maxonform plugin you seem to be talking about (it gives option to 'Send back to ArchiCAD')

The Material Exchanger is a 1-way plugin to map materials applied in Cinema to ArchiCAD materials. Using this you can simply export updated geometry out of ArchiCAD and the plugin does all the time-consuming work of re-applying the materials (near instantaneously). There is no functionality to send anything back to ArchiCAD.

As far as I am aware you cannot download this plugin from the Maxon site - only updates. You need the original plugin installer which came on the Cinema 4D Architecture Bundle CD.

Maxonform enables you to edit/create new elements within Cinema4D and send them back to ArchiCAD as a GDL object. It is activated from within ArchiCAD. There are two plugins you need to install - one for each application. It sounds like you have only installed the Cinema part.

Maxonform is not supported anywhere on the Maxon site - refer to the links above for Graphisofts instructions.

WhiteMan wrote:
...But i have option to edit something in cinema.

OK this is what had me confused - is this option appearing in ArchiCAD? Sounds like Maxonform, the Exchange plugin only adds a file format (Cinema4D - i.e <S></S>.AC4D<E></E>) to the Save As dialog.

The Exchange plugin installs to Cinema4D and then you need to move a couple of files in places there into your ArchiCAD Add-Ons folder. They will be in a folder like:

<S></S>/Applications/MAXON/CINEMA 4D R10/Exchange Plugins/ArchiCAD 10/MacIntel<E></E>
yes, it is appearing in ArchiCAD(design>design extras). That is what i need, to add cinama's file format in save as dialog in ArchiCAD!!
I've installed both plugins from <LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/products/arch ... nload.html">http://www.graphisoft.com/products/archicad/solutions/cinema4d_download.html</LINK_TEXT>
Is there something more that i need to install? Btw, i don't have any archicad folder in my Exchange Plugins.

Those are the Maxonform plugins.

The Architecture Exchange plugin installer can only be found on the CD you get with Cinema4D as part of the Architecture Bundle (C4D+Advanced Render+Sketch & Toon). I'm not sure if you can buy the Exchange plugin separately if you already own C4D .. depends on your reseller
