I have the exact same problem in AC12 now. It worked fine in AC11 but now the "Do not export ArchiCAD penweights" is grey and I cannot choose it. I have tried different combinations and I do not have true line weights on but it is always unclikable. Does anyone know how to activate it?

<T>Is there a way that when drawings are saved as in autocad format (2005)all lines in the translated drawing are hairlines? I click off true line weight on screen view options, I used all available translators, I searched the forum. But I cant fix this. Please help</T>

Answering my own question.
1.Open the translated drawing in autocad
2.write the command convertpstyles
3.select all lines, change their properties (command:change)
4.Change their lineweight properties to 0
5. You may have to do these last 2 steps several times to make sure you convert all the lines. (If some are nested in blocks they should be exploded)
I hope theres an easier way

On step 3 instead of selecting all lines with the mouse, type ALL and press return this will select all the lines.

Im starting to use archicad 11
In translating drawings to autocad 2005 I cant click on the option "do not export archicad penweights" (It's greyed) to export drawings in hairlines to autocad 2005.
I tried different conversion methods even tried to create a new one without success.
This option worked perfectly on archicad 10. Meanwhile I have to translate back to archicad 10 and then to translate to autocad to export drawings in hairlines. I dont know if this is a bug

Do you have "Show True Line Weights" turned on? I've found that Archicad reads that setting regardless of the translator options.

No! It WILL work. Turn off the 'display only option' (BS), then the translator radio button becomes available - check it - save your settings, update placed drawings as needed - AC then does not export lineweights to modelspace. Works for me.

Just a general warning about DWB and DWG's - they don't always play nice. Try unloading the plugin and see how that affects things. I believe CI is working on this if they haven't fixed it already.
