I ckeched this.
The Gross volume of the wall parameter will list the gross volume of the original wall.
The Volume parameter (last parameter for Walls) will list the volume of the Wall that the reduced volume.
So you can list what you need, I believe.

<T>I usually design the building without knowledge of where the beams will be put by the civil engineer OR even if i do know, its not possible to know the beams hanging.

So i set the wall height the full story height.
Later i put the beams on top of.
In 3d everyghing is ok. Well cut. In sections too.

But when i try to calculate using I.S the volume of the beam is not subtracted from the wall .

Does anyone know if this the normal behaviour?
The solution of going over each of the walls and reassign height is not practical.

Any other suggestions? I thought that when 2 objects intersect and have different priority numbers, the subtraction would be automatic.</T>

I didnt check about volume but this does not hold for surface.
I will check about volume.

Yes, it may not be the case for Surface, but it correctly displayed for me the correct Volume for a Wall cut by a Beam.

I checked and I saw that the result depends on 3D Intersection Priority settings in Preferences.
The rule is, if it is cut in 3D, the listed volume should reflect it.
