<T>I have imported some dwg's, (xref's) using a custom translator Everything looks great on screen. My plots are a different story. The text is orange on screen and so is other line work of that same detail. The oragne linework plots at full intensity black but the orange text plots at 75% true black. Both oragnes are the same pen# in ArchiCAD with the same penweight. Whats wrong and how do I fix this?</T>

What is the font that prints at 75%? AutoCAD SHX or a True Type?

SHX font romanS. I don't quite understand the full difference between the 2 types, however, after a little research I find that this is infact a shx font. I am begining to think that since this is an shx font then the 'skip all' button at the place external reference dialog box can't be used and my mistake is not navigating to the exact shx file. Is this the case?
As for printing rather then plotting.....I will try and let you know

Printing yields the same result. My fix was to change the shx fonts to a true type font in AutoCAD then reload my xref's. Thanks for the questions that led to this solution.

Yes, that is one of the mistakes - if you do have the SHXs don't be lazy and tell Archicad where they are.

The second mistake is using the SHX font at all. Replace it with a similar TrueType, and change the colour to black.
