Try to contact user Tribu here; the company he works for does quite extensive wind effect analysis. Frankly, I don't know whether Archicad is used, and if it is, how much.

Alternatively, try http://www.bdsp.com

Fluid Dynamics / Wind Tunnel

<R>Hi Brains Trust,

Did anyone have any experience with fluid dynamics or wind tunnel emulation in, or using ArchiCAD?

I am working on a design for a costal, exposed site and the obvious concern is trying to get the wind protection/views just right.
The clients are very concerned about raging winds, but do not want to loose the views (and fair enough I say <E>🙂</E>). We'll need to design some sort of wind-breaks, screens etc. and to perfectly honest, I have no idea where to start.

Short of building several models and trying to get into a real wind tunnel somewhere, what are my options? Any ideas?

Best for 2007.
TIA
G.</R>
