Thanks Karl, how was the retreat? I'm in again when they move it to the beach (Hawaii, hint, hint...)

Hmmm. thats weird.

I'm using the new SE library that I downloaded a few weeks ago. Did it change since then?

Cant see 2d Electrical symbols in schedule!

<T>Does anyone know why the 2d Electrical symbols in the new Archicad SE
Library don't show up in my custom interactive schedule I have placed in my drawing?

I've set my interactive schedule to show the 2d symbol (for objects) and it never
does.

Does anyone know if this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

* Don't read the following unless you need more details into how and what I am doing *

Here is what I am doing to set the schedule up:

In the schedule settings menu under fields, I choose the box under the "Object/Lamp" category for "2D Symbol". I also choose the fields "library Part Name", Quantity" and "User defined 1".

I set the schedule to record by row.

Then I choose to place the schedule and while everything else looks perfect, nothing shows up for the "2D Symbol"

Also, I am using the symbols in the "AC9 Library Special Edition.pla" from the "Object Library", folder "16 Electrical 9", sub folder "Basic Electrical Item 9".</T>

I just reproduced your steps and it works perfectly for me - symbols show up in the placed schedule as they should. The only thing we may have different is that I am using the 'new' SE9 library that was just posted this week.
SHEESH! This is like going to an auto mechanic and all of a sudden your car works.

I just tried it for the umpteenth time and all of a sudden it works. The only difference that I can figure is that I put the symbol in my last (far right) column versus the first one, but I can't see why that would make a difference.

Anyway, thanks!

OK, now that I have got the symbols to show up, they are pretty small because my rows are so narrow. I want my schedule to print in row format, is there a way to change my row height?

I see an option for column width, but nothing for rows. I'm sure its staring me in the face but I cannot see it.

Thanks again!

Glad that helped.

Yes. In the schedule setting, go to the Format tab, and select Picture for schedule item and set the row height. You can also/alternatively set the row height for the appropirate text item(s).

Ok, now the picture is set too big. I put in one inch, but it wont let me go any less. Ive tried setting the text fields to 1/2 inch but I cant get the setting for picture to take a number smaller than "1"

I'm sure it's right under my nose, but Ive jacked with a myriad of settings and none of them seems to be able to reduce the row height smaller than 1 inch.

Thanks again!

Sorry - I should have warned you. This seems to be a bug in the I.S. - I had the same experience. Once the picture row size is 1" or greater, it will not allow you to set it to less than 1". Maybe you can duplicate and edit the duplicate scheme; otherwise you may have to re-create the schedule.
