Importing Microsoft Excel documents in Plotmaker

You used to be able to import Microsoft Excel documents (door schedules, area schedules etc.) directly into Plotmaker.
This is not the case with Plotmaker for ArchiCAD 8.1.

Is there a way around this?

This is a bit of a complex issue (much has been written on it) which is also platform dependent. The short answer is OLE works in Windows but not in OSX (unless MS has improved matters with Office 2004). There are a variety of issues and work-arounds which I will not go into here. We are all hoping for some improvement in this area (like PDF import to PM). It has always been harder than it should be to get text and tables into PlotMaker.

BTW. Please add your computer info to your signature line. Many questions are hard or impossible to answer without it.

No - not in the way it worked with OS 9 and AC 7.

There are alternatives however..
