<R>Hi, Guys. recently i had a specific question about Rhino and Archicad. I am using Rhino version 4 and Archicad 10.0. I have done some work in Rhino. The problem is i can not export to Archicad. I would like to keep solid surface for cutting section in Archicad. The profile should be clear enough.

Is there any plugin between two softwares? What is the best way?

What standard formats can Rhino export to?
Yes, Archicad can import 3Ds.
It is obscure:

Go here:

<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archi ... 1/USA.html">http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archicad/downloads/goodies11/USA.html</LINK_TEXT>

Get the 3Ds In Goodie and install it.

I use this frequently to bring in Poser and OnyxTree Pro elements.

Altho: A Caution: recently, with IntelMac, Poser exports are smoother if first sent through Cinema 4D as OBJ, THEN converted into 3Ds for Archicad.

This plugin doesn't work for me. I Draw a simple cube in rhino, export as 3ds, import into ArchiCad 11 (Intel Mac) and voila, some stupid error that means I have to force quit archicad. First I get: "ACAPI_LibPart_Create Error: 1", then if you click okay, it moves on to "ACAPI_LibPart_UpdateSection paramdef Error: 104", then you have to force quit.

If you're going to make archicad so unfriendly to other file formats, (still no sketchup importer for mac) at least make the things that you do release work...
