We have been importing pdf's into PM as well, however only single page documents. When we attempt to import a multi-page pdf document, only the first page imports. Is there a way to import multi-page pdf's into PM? Adobe Reader cannot save single pages at a time as far as I know, which would be an option.
Thanks,
You have to use an external application such as adobe illustrator, where you can open the pdf and convert it to DXF/DWG and import it to plotaker.
I am not sure what happens with the scale of the drawing.
I'm certain there is a wish for PDF that you can vote for. Perhaps several. If I could vote multiple times, I would.

There are a lot of programs out there that allow you to save a PDF as something else (JPG, TIFF, etc). Any of those formats can be imported to Archicad and Plotmaker.

At this time, there is no way to directly import a PDF <E>😞</E>

My only gripe with this is that Plotmaker doesn't drop the PDF extension when using the filename for a title, the way it does with, say, a PMK or TIF.

Acrobat Pro itself converts PDF to a variety of formats, such as TIF, PNG, etc., all of which work very well in PM.

Print the PDF into single ones, then import.

Thank you so much, this really helps. Basically, instead of Saving As for each page (which one can't do), you have to print to the Amyuni PDF Converter. This changes everything! Thanks again.
so... i assume from all of this that you CAN import pdf documents into plotmaker running on windows but CANNOT import on the mac (i have tested numerous times to no avail)

currently i am exporting pdf's to tiff from within acrobat and then importing (which works OK).... but a direct import of pdf files on the mac would be greatly appreciated

It's a lot simpler than saving as a TIFF first -

You can use regular Acrobat Reader. Use the Snapshot tool to select the area of the page you want; it puts in on the OS X clipboard, and you can simply paste it into Plotmaker. Only 72 dpi [from the screen value], but you can zoom in Acrobat to increase the overall pixel count before doing a snapshot.

This technique goes for windows and macs. No need to make many duplicate PDFs just to isolate single pages in my opinion... you could potentially lose quality by re-sampling images etc.
