You are opening the DWG with pen number to pen number conversion rule. Pen No 7 in ArchiCAD is blue. &lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
You also have the Tru Weight on in ArchiCAD. That is why your ine is thick.&lt;BR /&gt;

Likewise, when the archicad file is exported as a dwg file and opened in autocad, the lines all have thicknesses. Can anyone please shed some light on this - and possible workarounds.
