Check what is your setting in Options/Preferences/Zones for the Wall recesses. If the recess on the plan is smaller that the values specified there it will not be included.

Hm. Funny.

Your zone should "flow" into the space if you place a door. Try that. It might be because you are using a window, and the sill exists; therefore, the VOLUME of the room is changed, but the AREA is not.

What is the setting of the window area that is to be excluded from calculation? Usually it is 1m2, try a larger window.

Try also specifying a very small value in the "if larger than" fields.

Did not try, will check.

I checked this with the exact same settings. Here is the result in ArchiCAD 6.5. It is correctly calculated.

I opened the same file in AC9 and did the listing. It is correctly calculated here as well.

Baed on the above, I have only one guess: In the Library Object settings Dialog, you can go to the Details Subdialog and there you can enter a numerical expression for the Wall Inset. See attached image.
What you enter here has a profound effect on what will be displayed for these values, because the depth of the Wall Inset is calculated from this.
So maybe you have a wrong GDL expression here which gives wrong Wall Inset Depth to the program, and therefore those 3 Wall Inset values will be incorrectly calculated.

Actually from the amount the Zone flows into the Wall Recess you can see whether this Wall Inset value is correct or not.
On your first image, it looks like your Zone does not flow into the Wall recess, so probably it is a problem with this field.
Check other Windows/Doors in the GS Library and copy-paste the formula from those - it should help.

One more thing: the text for Wall Inset Side Surface is not entirely correct - I admit that I was the one who wrote it at the time so shame on me

It goes like this :

Wall Inset Side Surface
Type: numerical (positive value)
Possible range: 0 and up (in square meters)
Returns the total of side surfaces of the wall inset, which is the size of the two sides of the rectangular hole the Door/Window cuts into the Wall. It is obtained by multiplying by two the product of the depth of the Door/Window in the Wall and its width.

The correct text should be this:

Wall Inset Side Surface
Type: numerical (positive value)
Possible range: 0 and up (in square meters)
Returns the total of side surfaces of the wall inset, which is the size of the two sides of the rectangular hole the Door/Window cuts into the Wall. It is obtained by multiplying by two the product of the depth of the Door/Window in the Wall and its height.

Too many parameters influences a Wall Inset ... Surface :
1.Parapet Wall Inset on/off (Window Selected Settings)
2.Depth of Inset (Window Selected Settings)
3.Frame Thickness (Window Selected Settings)
4.Reveal (Window Selected Settings)
5.Add Wall Recesses to Zones (Preferences)
6.Derived Sizes (Detail)
7.Type of a window
and others

May be that is very difficult .
I am not so pleased, but I have grown wiser .
