Archicad is OK at exporting data to a database software, but has almost no ability to import it in any meaningful way.

<T>I have a data base that includes room names, finishes, room numbers, doors, hardware and other information such as furniture.

I want to import this into ARchiCad to develop finish schedules, door schedules and equipment lists.

How do you import data into ArchiCad and how do you get it to recognize the data you're inputting?</T>

one should be able to paste the contents of a Access table contents directly into the drawing as text. There does not appear to be any Paste Special options available from there. Make sure the columns are justified to the right width though the space between columns comes in as tabs. Draw lines as required to give the text some borders in the drawing

Access Reports are another matter as there is no way to coppy the text that I know of.
I just keep a text version of the database and access it via gdl for smart display. Currently doing Hospital room data sheets
For access reports, cant you just link to the pdf files of them and place them on the plan/layout?
