topic Importing DWG with scripts in Collaboration with other software

<T>Hi,
I was looking to find if this was ever discussed. The search did not find anything related. Please advise on the following situation:

DWG files with a "CORE File" and scripts to load different layer combinations in the Paper Space Mode in ACAD 2000.
We need to ("extract") export that particular layer combination that has only the typical Floor plan. The Translator is not very helpful.
When we try to open with Paper space with viewport contents we get everything in ArchiCAD including the layers we don't "see" in AutoCAD - all the different floors and all the layers are shown.

Thank youin advance,

You need to translate the Layer status (is that how you call it?) from the DWG to Layer Combinations in ArchiCAD. Don't think it is possible at present, but is definitely an interesting problem.

Did you try printing the Layer status settings and creating Layer combinations in ArchiCAD (hiding the ones you don't need)?

Thank you guys,

We requested the scrip files. SCR ( which is run the Script files) in AutoCAD in our case Model Space. Explode whatever is left in the drawing and export as Block(name).dwg file. ACAD creates file only with the visible exploded elements in very"clean" file.

Open in AC at 1-1 scale . It works, but some time is lost to run the scripts in any file. Good results though.

Nice to be back in AC forum.

Thanks again,
