Can anyone help I have just installed artlantis but when are go to save an archicad image as an OPT file it doesn't seem to exist what can I do to fix it thanks

Do a save as from the 3D window.

Presuming you did something in ArchiCAD:

Open the 3D window in a perspective view. Save As.

Thats what I do but their is no option to save as an OPT file what have I done wrong

Maybe it says ArtLantis file?

4.5 is ATL, not OPT

7 does not have export for 4.5, only 4. OPT/DB

get a hold of a previous art•lantis plug-in for archiCAD so that you can save as an 'OPT' file. then in the art•lantis 'Open' menu, enable the 'OPT' files? see attached . . .

Artlantis 4.5 will open either an OPT/DB pair or an ATL file. But, it will only save as ATL.

If you have 7.0, you should have an OPT output option as shown in Djordje's screenshot. If you don't, then somehow the "Artlantis Out" add-on is missing from your Add-Ons/Import-Export folder.

But Ben's comments make me wonder if this wasn't a standard add-on, but delivered with Artlantis 4.0 ... not sure. Abvent only has the VectorWorks plug-in available for download on their web site. So, if you don't see "Artlantis Out" in your Import-Export folder, let us know ... and are you Mac or Windows?

I don't have the Mac plug-in, so can't help. You might contact the distributor that you purchased 4.5 from, or perhaps someone here might have a copy of the 7.0 Mac version they could send you.

Jemima, if you have a legitimately licensed full copy of Archicad 7, the Artlantis Out plugin should be in your installation, otherwise re-install it from the disk(s). If you can't find it, you should contact your nearest Archicad reseller. They should be able to help.

I don't know if it was included in the student version.
