      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;R&gt;HELP!  I am trying to import an IFC file created in ArchiCad into Vectorworks and get the message, "Bad IFC File"  Any ideas? &lt;IMG src="https://community.graphisoft.com/legacyfs/online/emojis/icon_sad.gif" style="display : inline;" /&gt;&lt;/R&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

      <description>I've had no major problems importing ArchiCAD IFC files into Revit (aside from the long beachball/hourglass time for large buildings and the inevitable translation losses). I've never tried importing IFC to VectorWorks so I can't say what issues there might be with that.</description>

      <description>I was able to import finally but only with most layers turned off and the file was not to scale! UGHH!</description>

What you are trying to accomplish taking the file into Vectorworks. Will someone be using Vectorworks to continue modeling? If so, curves can sometimes be a problem. Delete/turn off such items and try again. They may have to remodel some parts.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
If in vectorworks you only need to reference the archicad model you could try exporting a 3D dwg to Vectorworks. It is a much smaller file format.</description>
