The ArchiCAD ODBC driver is intended for people who know how to use an ODBC interface to data sources from an application like Microsoft Access or via a programming language interface. It provides read-only access to a variety (not all) of data in the project file via tables and queries.

If database management via ODBC is something new to you, you might want to browse the computing books at a bookstore near you for a book that feels appropriate to your current knowledge level... If you are not a programmer, then a book on Microsoft Access that addresses ODBC would be appropriate.

Cheers,
