I bought a Vitra headline a month ago and I can definitely say that it's backrest system is one of the best I've tried.
As for the design, I love it because it doesn't look like a spaceship.
I've always hated those super - ergonomic chairs that make you look like you're an Alien with a high-tech extra spine.

I know it looks too much like a sitting machine, but I still like the Aeron best. That's mostly because I prefer sitting on materials in tension than in compression.

That #4 Netsurfer chair looks like something designed for alien abduction medical procedures. Or maybe they just left out the "special" attachments for web surfing adults.

Thanks for mentioning the Vitra headline. I think this is exactly what I have been looking for.

Others I was considering are the Geiger Foray, the Leap Chair, and the Raynor Ergohuman.

I sat in some Aeron chairs yesterday and I didn't like them very well. I was able to get a better fit with the Mirra.

I hope I can find the Vitra Headline at a price I can afford.

As I am getting older my prostate is getting problematic. Any chair that brings comfort to hours of sitting?

Would that be the throb or the sudden stab?

I don't think that any chair specifically addresses gonad comfort, but i love my Aeron chair mainly because its support faces are made of cool net fabric.

And you can see from my Archicad TALK postings that i keep long hours at the display screen.

They all use the net fabric to suspend your delicate tooshie, but there are several add-on features for back support. [Had to make my own five point quick release seatbelt and cantilevered cupholder]

They DO come in different sizes, altho i played it safe and got the "Wideass®" model in anticipation of increased girth.

Someone your size could live with the middle sized one.

I got the big one too. Though I seem to be managing to stay reasonably slim for now, I sometimes like to cross my legs, and i just like room to lounge around in.
