Hi John,

I tried that out too. But when i export my pln, the translator does not have the Open Option. This Open Option only appears when i import dwg.

Will it take the settings I set eventhough it did not appear?

thanks,

<T>Hi,

how can I maintain the dimensions when I export them out to Autocad? They all turn out to be Line & text in Autocad.

When i open a dwg file in Archicad, i am given the option of opening the dimension from autocad as Line & Text or Single Dimension or Chain dimension.

Is there a setting in Archicad to do this?

thanks.
Joanna, check the "open options" in the translator. there are settings for dimension handling in there.

Hi, Joanna
In the DXF_DWG translation setup window, onto save option settings , you have to choose SAVE LAYOUT ONTO: Paper space with cropped view;s content. If you choose model space, you'll have to explode the drawing in order to edit it, and it will explode dimensions also.
