Did the Hilti PD28 support the bluetooth connection?
If yes you could try to use it: we wimply collect the data from this connection and maybe Hilti PD28 follows the same specification of Disto (usually they follow a common standard).
you can use ArchiCAD Fills to identify different ceiling areas using different levels and/or panel types.
Cool!

One more step for ArchiMap and I will buy it. GPS.

I would like to be able to take a reading at any point in the room and have it translated into a 3D hotspot in ArchiCAD.

I want a little stylus attached to a GPS (or similar) recorder that I could go around the room (or objects) and take a reading where ever I touch the tip of it. Not only the corners of a room, but the corners of the window trim or other things too, to create a precision 3D model of anything I want.

I want to make the 3d GPS (or what ever you might call it) recording to create a wire frame, shaded, and photo-realistic 3d display. I would also want the ability to assign materials like glass or what ever to the different planes recorded. A little hi-res camera to capture the actual textures would be nice. Then I want to be able to do the remodeling work with ArchiCAD and export the it to a render farm for a 100 hr render with Maxwell.

<S></S>Todays fantasy is tomorrows technology. <E></E>

<LINK_TEXT text="http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl= ... n%26sa%3DN">http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.fastscan3d.com/products/stylus/using-stylus-line.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.fastscan3d.com/products/stylus/&h=332&w=476&sz=114&tbnid=5GK684vA02oJ:&tbnh=87&tbnw=126&hl=en&start=249&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dstylus%26start%3D240%26svnum%3D10%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D%26rls%3DGGLR,GGLR:2005-49,GGLR:en%26sa%3DN</LINK_TEXT>

Rember when you can do this with ArchiCAD that ArchiMap was the first step toward a revolutionary change in the way ArchiCAD users will be able to do our work in the future.

The USP is always the same 175 Euro.

I just realized OOL didn't published any info about the last products... but they are our USA Distributor and they already sold some ArchiPanel so, I suppose, the best solution is directly contact them asking for ArchiPanel.
Oh WOW!!! The ArchiMap is one plug-in that I've been imagining for the longest time (saw a "version" of it years ago on a discovery chanel, that got the information through a video camera). The only dissapointment for me is that you only support the Disto as a means of getting the information in. We're using the Hilti PD28 and I rather like it and I don't want to buy the Disto also. Any chance of supporting the Hilti also?
