<T>I scanned in 25 tiff "E" size drawings, scaled them to 1/8" accuracy, arranged them on stories and view sets to reflect their layers, scale, etc. I am working on the "grading plan" and every step, if I don't save, the program crashes with a bug report and kicks me out.

At first I reopened ArchiCAD, but now restart the system This is particularly annoying. I have restarted my system every 5 minutes in the last hour. Bug report after bug report after bug report etc.

The file is 8.8 MB.

I wish the bug reports gone, but they aren't. The last bug report just happened and it is number 2007-02-08-20-14-57-7244

HELP
Open the TIFFs in Photoshop or something, and reduce their non-compressed size to the minimum posible. Maybe turn them into 2-bit BMPs?

The size of the TIFFs is killing your work. Just get Element info on any of them and you will understand.
