You didn't mention which operating system you were using, but if it is Windows XP you should try:

1. New & Reset ArchiCAD

if that doesn't help, then

2. Reboot

3. Run my pref file cleanup ( see post here <LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... highlight=">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=10620&highlight=</LINK_TEXT> )

If you still have the problem post further details here.

Then you should also try this:
http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=973

If that doesn't work I would suggest sending it to tech support.
thanks for your help.
Eric -

I was hoping you could elaborate a bit about the action your batch file does. [I've been to your webapage and my interpratation is a little foggy. Not sure if you're implying everyone should do this or just users experiencing difficulties............. ]

I will be moving in and out of 8.1 for a while, some unfinished business, and I don't want to loose my screen preferences. They're kind of a hassle to reestablish in 8.1. [No work environment like 9.........], And even though I've got copies of all my prefs stashed away, seems if the old ones are bad then the copies would be corrupt as well. So while I'd like to make certain everything is "clean" for working in 10 I don't want to screw myself in 8.1. What little chance I've had to play with 10, everything seems fine.

My thinking is always the more I know about what I'm doing I'm less likely to make extra work for myself............any advice-cation-opinions here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Is your ArchiCAD set for crossplatform save? It is not by default.

Hi,

Yes save in multiplatform format is on, by default I think because I did not change it.

Thanks
