Help | Check for updates doesn't work

Hi All

I go to
Help | Check for updates
and it doesn't work. Nothing happens...

Does any one have any ideas?

Win XP pro, sharing a DSL connection, and using Windows Firewall

Works o.k. here. Can you be more specific about what is happening / not happening? (I'm thinking for others, I will be no help with this, I promise).

Hi Stuart

Like I said, nothing happens. It's as Dwight said; "light's are on, but nobody's home". Select the command, and nothing.

Is there some setting that disables this feature? Does the Windows Firewall disable it?

It is possible, but in that case you should get a warning. Check your firewall settings and allow access for Graphisoft sites. They are safe, AFAIK.

it should launch your default browser and connect to here:

http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archicad/downloads/update.html?_submitted=1&_sessionid=&version=10&lang=NZE&build=966&platform=Win&type=FULL&_submit=Submit

(make sure the platform, version and build number are applicable to your specific set-up before linking in!!!)

are you using a non-mainstream, weird web browser?!

Yeah I use Opera as my default browser.

Turn to IE for the automatic Graphisoft stuff ... Safari on the Mac OS.
