Disk mapping. You don't have a free letter - and the flashes can't be the last in the line, after the mapped network disks.</description>

It is recognized on one Compaq and one HP computer, but on the 3rd HP, it can't be detected, despite all the usual diagnostics. All machines are relatively new, and all are running Windows XP Home.&lt;BR /&gt;

Or sometimes they are detected as an already mapped drive (say &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":anguished_face:"&gt;😧&lt;/span&gt; or E:) and therefore can't be seen.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Either way you need to go to where the drive mapping is controlled to sort it.&lt;BR /&gt;

Control Panel &amp;gt; Administrative Tools &amp;gt; Computer Management &amp;gt; Storage &amp;gt; Disk Management&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
This is where you can control the drive mapping.&lt;BR /&gt;
Right click on a drive and you can change it's letter.&lt;BR /&gt;
You shoud see the thumb drive there if you have it plugged in.&lt;BR /&gt;
