Yes, but there is yet another solution, using the permanent Amyuni printer for publishing. See details: <LINK_TEXT text="http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archi ...
Plotmaker: Publish to PDF & Secuity Question

<R>Platform: This is ArchiCAD 9 AUS build 2172, on a Windows XP SP2 workstation, in a Windows 2003 domain.

Description/Background: By default, our users are Domain Users on their workstations. This is for security reasons. When using PlotMaker, the Publish to PDF option is missing. The solution as advised by Graphisoft (see <S></S></R><E></E>) would be to make each user a Power User on their workstation (in this case by setting the GPO for the domain). All fine, as far as this goes!

However, I am a bit wary of jumping all Domain Users up to Power Users just to crack this issue. There may be unforeseen security issues.

Question: rather than jump all users to Power Users, can anyone advise if simply adding (in Domain GPO) Domain Users to <S></S>Local Policies > User Rights Assignment > Load and Unload Device Drivers<E></E> will have the same effect?

Just curious, I will try the latter idea first early in 2006, before considering the recommended solution (which may require turning off extra options in GPO that currently apply to Power Users).

Thanks in advance,
