<T>I am considering getting an Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 processor with Vista Business 64. Until Archicad get their house in order with Vista, I'll be using XP Pro64 OS. Will Archicad run OK with this hardware and OS? Will new versions take advantage of multi core processors?</T>

Well, I'll comment on my own post.

I've done it - bought a quad core. Specifications are with my signature. It flies! A comparative test with ArchiCad 10 shows it to be exactly 50% faster than the latest dual processor Mac - @ about 2/3 the cost. Only got it today so don't yet know of the bugs (if any) in the video card. However, when AC makes use of multicore processors, I'll be ready!
