BTW can the tablet pen be used as a mouse or is it for writing only?

the WinXP Tablet stylus controls the cursor... it's an active digitizer

like :
<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/peripher ... 033025.php">http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/peripherals/input/wacom-cintiq-21ux-touch-screen-flatpanel-033025.php</LINK_TEXT>
http://www.wacom.com/lcdtablets/index.cfm

except the WinXP Tablet Operating System is a superset of WinXP: it will have greater functionality for WinXP tablet stylus use.

for example right-click:
<LINK_TEXT text="http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/usin ... click.mspx">http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/tabletpc/learnmore/rightclick.mspx</LINK_TEXT>

for Shift, CTRL, Alt: you can set the buttons on the tablet itself
and the WinXP Tablet OS provides an onscreen keyboard/handwriting recognition (not great for typing out long lines of text though)

<T>Had someone call and ask about using ArchiCAD on a tablet PC. Techsupport told me ArchiCAD would run on Windows XP Tablet edition. Anyone doing it?</T>
