<R>I may be a moron, but I haven't noticed this before.

Today I had to work with the MBP without a mouse. By accident, I discovered a MacOSX function I wasn't aware of:

If you move around two fingers simultaneously (as a pair) on the track pad, you get the function of the scroll wheel. No extra ctrls or cmds involved. And this works in all windows in Archicad too! So I can quickly zoom away as I like even without the mouse!</R>

…and you can define under the keyboard preferences that if you place 2 fingers on the pad and click it is the equivalent of a ctrl+click / right click.

That feature is at least three years old. They made a big deal of it at first but it became commonplace. Along the lines of when television was first introduced in the 1950's and a news person said "We are working hard on sending the colors, too" I understand they are working on getting the track pad to work with three fingers, and also to recognize sign language.

yep - and you can scroll sideways using it as well by moving the fingers horizontally . . . if the app isn't written to take advantage of sideways scrolling, hold SHIFT - it'll force scroll sideways. (that goes for a mousewheel too)

by far the most useful though is the two-fingered click for context menu.
