      <description>It would be be interesting to see any benchmark figures for  different processors using AC12. We - like many others - are looking to upgrade computers when we jump to AC12. Im just not sure if it is better to go for a slightly faster (in clock cycles) Intel  core 2 duo, or quad core system.&lt;BR /&gt;

If anyone has any benchmarks could they post them or the link here?</description>

IMO Quad-Core is the smartest choice.  If you want evidence, look at specview ratings online or C4D's performance benchmarks.  It's only logical that software designed to use multiple core will benefit the most from the most number of cores.  Sure you can upgrade to higher dual core with faster clock speeds, but it will not compare to the performance of a lower clocked quad core when AC12 is released.</description>
