I don't know that you need to re-install 12 completely.
Just download and install the code meter enabler?

http://www.graphisoft.com/downloads/protection_key.html

I am pretty sure I have done this in the past but we don't have many code meter licenses and don't use 12 very much now so I can't be 100% sure.

<T>1 of 10 user in a CodeMeter-x10 license system cannot grab a license after lunchtime. That was when he logout his ArchiCAD.
1. System: License server is Windows XP
2. Clients: all are using AC12
3. I can see from the CmContainer Webadmin there are 0 Free and duplicate IP addresses I can see.

Please advise if anyone here experience the same. Thanks much.
Can you clarify a little: are you saying that this happens every day? So, this one user can grab a license every morning, quit AC for lunch, and every day he/she is unable to get on again after lunch? Or this happens once? Nobody else has this issue, so it is likely not a router problem? Everyone's computer is configured exactly the same?

When you say in step 3 that there are '0 free' - are you saying licenses? So that the Codemeter license server apparently did not recognize user 1 giving up his/her license?

Have you reviewed these articles carefully:
Thanks Carl. I am yet to read those. Will get back after.

Yes, it is everyday. No DNS environment, mixed Mac and PC. Configuration is done ok last last time but I have to re-check. Not router, definitely.

To answer this > When you say in step 3 that there are '0 free' - are you saying licenses? So that the Codemeter license server apparently did not recognize user 1 giving up his/her license?

There are already 10 clients grabbed the codemeterx10. Clients also have multiple grabbed licenses once they do multi tasking or opening one or more files or AC12, 16, and or AC17 files. We will just kick one of his who has many and the 10th can grab a license again.

Screen shot shall be sent this Monday. I've to travel to our other office. Thanks much.
a couple of ideas that might help:
- try to install the latest GRAPHISOFT tested driver on all related computers: http://www.graphisoft.com/downloads/protection_key.html
- you might need to change the default time-out setting on all computers: http://www.archicadwiki.com/CodeMeter/SetTimeOut
For all as update,

1. For -we try to install the latest GRAPHISOFT tested driver on all related computers: http://www.graphisoft.com/downloads/protection_key.html

Answer/results: The available download is CodeMeter Driver version 5.10a
while we are using Version 5.00a of Apr/03/2013. Doing the change is too disruptive for us -change the versions of server then clients. The clients when upgraded to a new CM version, we'll have to re-install the ArchiCAD again, users are using AC12, 16 & 17. And there are 4 - 6 applications need to be (re-) installed before an AC12 is OK to a codemeter server!

2. For - you might need to change the default time-out setting on all computers: http://www.archicadwiki.com/CodeMeter/SetTimeOut
Setting up a client now...
Stay Tuned... Thanks.

That's not the case Karl. When CM are upgraded, AC plus applications (CmRuntimeUser_5.0.1077.504 & then the AC12-R1-CM-ENABLER-2782, the PDFwriter_for_Mac_1.2.1 & the MagicPrefs.app for iMac users), and then our (customised) Libraries. Hence, it is disruptive.

We've yet to try the "change the default time-out setting on all computers" if it will solve our daily problem. Thanks

Lorenzo,

I did some test here to see the situation with the CodeMeter driver as it sounds really scary if that many other software would be affected by the reinstallation of the driver.

During my tests everything went fine, non of the mentioned application were affected. Here are my steps, please help to locate where these may differ from yours:
- downloaded the latest GRAPHISOFT tested CodeMeter driver from our site: http://www.graphisoft.com/downloads/protection_key.html
- mounted the installation dmg
- run the CmUninstall.app from the dmg
- restarted the computer
- mounted the dmg again
- installed the driver using CmInstall.pkg
Thanks Marton. We have mixed clients of iMac and Windows. Agree on Macs but not on Windows. As follows:

Our steps in installing codemeter enabler and cdm runtime kit: 1. Un-install existing AC12 ( codemeter need newly installed AC12) to refresh.
2. Install Java 6 (existing AC12 installer is not running on Java 7!), if any
3. Re-install AC12 (while AC16, 17 installed already)
4. Install AC12-2782Hotfix6 5. install library update
6. Install AC12-R1-CM-Enabler-2782
7. Install Codemeter runtime kit (32bit for Winxp, 64bit for win7)
8. Runtime total: 30minutes per Windows PC.
9. We have tried installing codemeter enabler and runtime kit without un-installing AC12, but it's not working; it's always in demo mode?

Please advise.

I don't know that you need to re-install 12 completely.
Just download and install the code meter enabler?

I am pretty sure I have done this in the past but we don't have many code meter licenses and don't use 12 very much now so I can't be 100% sure.
