topic Archicad takes a long time to update xrefs in Installation & update

<T>We're using archicad 13. We have a project which consists of a few buildings on one same site, so we created separate files for each building and xref the views of the elevations onto the layout book of a master file for plotting.

We did this a few times before with smaller scale projects and didn't have any problems.

But with this project, every time we click on a layout which has an xref view/drawing in the master file, archicad would open the module file we use to get the view/drawing. Sometimes it even fails to update.

Have we done it the wrong way? Is there anyway to stop archicad from opening the module files when updating?

When we export the drawings to DWGs, some sheets are failed to be exported because archicad can't update the view from the external archicad file.

Have anyone run into this issue before?</T>
