<T>I have an order in for a dell vostro 1710
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T8300
2.4GHz, 3MB Cache, 800 MHz
Genuine Windows Vista(R) Business with Windows(R) XP Professional Preinstalled
17 " Widescreen WUXGA (1920X1200) TFT Display with TrueLife(TM)
3GB (1X1GB+1X2GB) 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM
320GB SATA Hard Drive

the gpu is listed as 256MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) 8600M GS
and I have heard it is GDDR3 memory

I am an interior design student and I need to run archicad so I am wondering if this will be enough for me? My budget is limited and I need a desktop replacement so I am hoping these specs will do for a while.

Thanks!!</T>

Thanks!!

The card you have is different though as it is a 8600 GT whereas the one I am interested in is a 8600 GS but with DDR3...

does anyone have any experience with this grade card?
