I have seen that too.
I have also seen people trying to draw Walls or lines and the rubber-band line not appearing which shows the would-be Wall or line.
I think these are all graphics card driver problem candidates.

<T>We have found a bug in AC13. Selected objects such as walls, do not deselect when we move onto another object. We have to rebuild the project to deselect it. Anybody else find this?</T>

What are the steps to reproduce this?

While you've got a thread going... There is an issue changing the ID in windows and doors (at least). Sometimes it crashes AC, but normally it just want except the input. This is changing it via the Tool Info box. If you open the tool it is fine, or from the IS. But, if you need to make changes, I would recommend saving first as I have crashed several times. This happened a few releases age too, but was fixed.

Your issue has not happened to me.

Kees,
I thought I was experiencing what you describe and not just with walls.
I had move some elements away from the model temporarily and as I adjusted the settings on groups was moving them back into the model. It seemed when I moved the next set of objects back into the model, that the previous ones had stayed selected as the moved again out the other side of the model.

When I tried to reproduce this I couldn't. I assumed that I had inadvertently forgot to deselect the objects. Since what I was doing was something I had done um-teen times over the years, I questioned why the objects were not deselected after moving, but assumed operator error in the end when I could not reproduce this.

Rick,
I haven't seen your problem, but I am on my pc right now, not my mac.

What you described is exactly what happens. Like you, I've done it thousands of times with AC12 and before. It doesn't always happen - i.e. it is intermittent - but I'll try to see if it is repeatable.
Our graphic card is not that old and its driver is upto date - surely I don't need a new card to run AC13?
But in my experience, the Marquee display problems are usually graphics card driver related.

I don't know about graphics cards. I have a new last year computers. In 13 sometimes I've had the reverse, like earlier today I marqueed an area to move. The marquee appeared to be off, but when I did something else in the file it was apparant is was still on, just didn't show.
Very scary implications. I'd been going up and down stories and the marquee is supposed to stay on when you change stories. I'll try to reproduce it later.
