USB key dissapears for AC not the OS -mac

I bought a PCIe usb card(Allegro) for the MacPro and AC loses the connection to the Wibu key around 30 min after I start an AC session. If I keep the key plugged in in any other USB port there are no problems. I already reinstalled the Wibu drivers and tried the ones from the WIBU site with no luck.
There are no problems when starting AC.
The key also disappears in Wkconfig but not for System Profiler and if I move it to another port in the card it reappears.

Ideas?

Possible solutions,

1) Open System Profiler
2) select USB
3) press "command+R" which reloads the settings

alternate

Delete and empty trash for the three (3) following files and directories:

/System/Library/Extensions.mkext (a file)
/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kernelcaches (a directory)
/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.romextensions (a directory)

The last directory might not exist so don't worry about it if it isn't there. Restart after you do this so OS X will rebuild some of the files.

as of using 10.5.4 the WIBU key disappears without a pattern, any other peripheral (iPhone, HD and UPS) that I tried keeps working without problems.
