topic How do I update project (.pln) from version 9 to version 15? in Installation & update

<R>Here's my dilemma: I have a legacy project, and I'm trying to update it to version 15 library elements. I did some research online, and I found that I can download the archicad 'File Converter' which is essentially stand alone versions of ArchiCAD. I downloaded the version 10 version, and after some more research found out that since I'm running a windows machine, I need to edit my registry and turn on the 'Special Menu' in order to update the previous library parts to version 10. . .

Well. . .great. . .but the stand-alone applet that I downloaded containing ArchiCAD v10 doesn't have any registry keys for me to enable the special menu. Is there another file that I can edit in the stand-alone version of ArchiCAD v10?
