save as pdf crash when publishing

Has anyone had success fixing the problem of crashes in AC 11 when trying to publish to a pdf? I saw an old post with the following fix: It may be your Java Version ?? Hot fixes are in the article.

Mac OS X 10.6.8 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

When it tries to save it "fails" in the status window. If I double click on it, the error says "incorrect definition of a path or drive or insufficient access rights.

I've never come across this before

This just means you are either publishing to a file path that doesn't exists or you do not have the correct permissions to write files to this folder.
Try resetting the publishing properties to a file path that you do have full access to (ie somewhere on your local drive) to see if that works.
