topic Mac Pro questions: cores & graphics card question in Installation & update

<T>I'm thinking of upgrading my Mac Pro (4x2.66 '07) to an '09 8x2.6.

Number of cores. Based on my observations, it seems like Archicad is making use of all the cores on some operations (3D & other regeneration) and only 1 cores for other operations. So it seems like going to 8 cores would be a big speed boost over 4. (just upgrading to Nehamem processors should be a big speed boost) Can anyone confirm?

Graphics card: Out of the current Apple offerings, are there any that are superior for archicad? Another post mentioned that Nvidia supports archicad with their new drivers. The Radions seem to be much better cards - do they support AC?</T>

Here I go answering my own question again

I found this in the wiki regarding multi processors.

Still very curious about the graphics card thing
