Maybe the firewall is blocking AC from accessing some component that it requires - many of them tend to be over-zealous. You may need to go into the advanced settings and giving it the necessary permissions? If all else fails, do you have the option to use a different firewall?&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
It would be helpful for us (and yourself) if you add your OS and AC details in your signature. You can create that by clicking on the profile button at the top of this page and filling in the details.</description>

      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;Hello to everyone&lt;BR /&gt;everything was working fine for about a year with my archicad start edition 2006 till one day, i could not launch it. &lt;BR /&gt;Tried updating wibu, java etc and after a format i realized that the problem was kaspersky firewall (when i exit protection everything works fine but i can not do that all the time)&lt;BR /&gt;What should i do to solve this problem?&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

I tried to search for the appropriate settings in kaspersky internet security, for example i put ArchiCAD to the trusted zone of programs, but nothing.   &lt;BR /&gt;
i am considering buying another firewall like you said</description>

You don't have to &lt;I&gt;&lt;/I&gt;&lt;S&gt;&lt;I&gt;&lt;I&gt;&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/I&gt;&lt;/S&gt;buy&lt;E&gt;&lt;/E&gt; a new firewall. I use the free version of Comodo Internet Security which has a great firewall:&lt;BR /&gt;

&lt;BR /&gt;
Tip: be sure to exclude the anti-virus part when installing (it can be tricky) because their antivir is still rather nascent.</description>
