The WIBU-Key drivers that weren't working were installed from the Archicad 9 and/or 11 setup. Apparently, these are 32 bit drivers. After contacting WIBU tech support, based on their recommendations, I uninstalled what came with Archicad and reinstalled 64 bit compatible drivers from WIBU's website and this worked.

If anyone else needs the 64 bit drivers, the following is the link: http://wibu.com/download_user.php

I've installed several versions of Archicad in Windows XP over the last several years and the different versions worked fine. I bought a new computer with Windows 7 on it, installed the same versions of Archicad, but I'm getting an error message saying "Protection key not found or not valid." It's the same Key I've been using for several years. What's up with Windows 7?

Any suggestions?

There are separate 32 bit and 64 bit WIBU drivers. Is it possible you have the wrong one installed?
