topic Digitizers - How good are they for ArchiCAD? in Installation & update

<T>I was talking to a lady who has had a good deal of experience of use doing graphic design using both the mouse & trackball. She purchased a high quality digitizer (pen) and to her surprise found that it leaves the other two input devices well & truely in it's wake for speed and acuracy.

Has anyone had experience using a digitiser as it would seem to me such a logical tool for any sort of CAD/CAM work?</T>

I use a Wacom Graphire3. Comes with a wireless mouse and pen. I like it and use the pen most of the time. However, with the pen you lose the wheel (for pan and zoom) which was unacceptable to me. So, I also use a Nostromo n52 Speedpad by Belkin. This device is for the left hand, has the wheel and several programmable keys. That's my preference.
