Recent glitches in version 16

Greetings. My version 16 on Windows 7 seems to have a few glitches recently. On skinning beams, I only have a choice of one column selection and cannot scroll to other columns of choices. In addition, the 'generic perspective' view has frozen on my latest project. I can still use 'generic axonometric' to orbit but prefer generic perspective.
I have used 'save as' to see if that cleared up the problems but nothing has changed. Would you suggest reloading version 16 perhaps?

I am struggling to imagine how the "generic perspective" view becomes frozen. Do you mean that 3D navigation works in axonometric mode but if you switch to perspective it locks up?

I am struggling too. I have always used the 'generic perspective' to navigate the 3D environment since I purchased version 11 in 06. On this particular occasion, when I switched from the Design Development First Floor Plan, to the 'generic perspective', it switched but would not allow any operations. Neither orbit, fit screen or zoom in or out worked and still doesn't. I have not yet opened other past files to see if this will occur with those files but I assure you this is real and is problematic for my latest file. I don't mind reloading 16 but might have to spend the time to update but that's ok if that is the fix.
