I would guess that the problem is that you're trying to use AC9 on an OS that wasn't even conceived when AC9 was developed.&lt;BR /&gt;

Even if you'd eventually get it to work, no one would be able to guarantee it enough to use in a professional context, as I see it. The only solution would be to upgrade AC to a version that's tested on Win 64.&lt;BR /&gt;

specifically states:

Arvedui,&lt;BR /&gt;
The 2 GB should not be an issue.  The SSD/RAID setup should not be an issue, assuming that everything else works fine with them.  Maybe your graphics card/driver?  Have you checked your system logs for any error messages?  I don't have Win 7, but on XP, you would right-click My Computer and select Manage as one way of getting to the Application and System logs...&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;T&gt;I had a hard time installing AC9 to win7 64 but finally I succeed.&lt;BR /&gt;
Since I randomly have Not responding events, sometimes AC never recover from. It usually happens when file operations in progress.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
My primary drive is an OZC SSD,&lt;BR /&gt;
data drive is a RAID1 volume.&lt;BR /&gt;
Using latest 64 bit Wibu driver.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
It's impossible to work with, please HELP!!!&lt;/T&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

It worked fine for me except that the 3D window had a glitch. Then someone on this forum suggested running it in compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and it's been perfect ever since.</description>

If the problem usually occurs during file operations (I presume you mean saving?) then it probably isn't video related.&lt;BR /&gt;

What's your available RAM like?  Probably enough given the rest of your specs but sill...&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
It could also be a corrupt installation.</description>

Well, Karl, Arvedul states that he's trying to run AC9 in Win7-64bit. I'm not sure how compatible the XP layer is in 64bit mode. He said it runs fine in XP and 32bit, which is what the Wiki article states is OK. 64-bit isn't mentioned in that context. Perhaps I took his post too literally, but I think he may be  asking too much &lt;E&gt;&lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":winking_face:"&gt;😉&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/E&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;

Also, I've seen statements that running Win7 64bit on just 2GB of RAM doesn't leave much room for the apps, perhaps depending on what and how many hardware devices (graphics cards etc)  that are installed in the system, since they need some adress space too. If you put the XP layer on top of Win7 I'd guess that leaves even less memory for the applications. So the 2GB limit &lt;U&gt;&lt;/U&gt;&lt;S&gt;&lt;U&gt;&lt;U&gt;&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/S&gt;might&lt;E&gt;&lt;/E&gt; be a problem. Easy and cheap to fix these days, though.</description>
