<R>archicad freezes every day on my windows 8 computer, it gets very slow or stops to be accessible. i have to kill the proces in the taskmanager.
a colleague has the same on windows 8, other colleagues with windows 7 don't have this problem

this is some frustrating problem and i don't know how to solve it. neither does our helpdesk at KUBUS

OK that wasn't it then.
When you get a freeze what does Archicad show as your available hard disc space and RAM?
Bottom right corner of screen (so long as you have the status bar turned on).
If these fgures are low then you are running out of resources.
If they are high then I am out of suggestions as I don't use Windows 8.
Hi,

I had the same problem some time before.
I found that win8 has a problem with the xHCI usb driver. When archicad freeze then lost its connection with WIBU key. Check WibuKey connection under Control Panel/WibuKey. I disabled xHCI in BIOS and from then it works without freezing (but I havent usb3 port now)
It was AC15 x64 /Win8 x64
thx for tips

but they don't work

- 100+GB free on harddisk
- 20+ GB free on RAM

- disabling xHCI don't work either

still on search for a solution;
- one of the files was very slow, it freezed but after waiting it was accesible again
- another file was unworkable slow
both problems were worked around by killing the process in taskmanager and reopen the files
- today i had to kill processes at least four times because of no responses

anyone?

Then you should ask them to forward it to Graphisoft Headquarters Tech Support. The guys at HQ may know what could be causing it. Or if they don't they can start investigating it.
