I love my Kensington Expert Mouse trackball. I got it at the very first signs of wrist discomfort with the mouse, and have been pain free ever since ( a little over a year now ).

While I can't be sure that a WACOM tablet with mouse will solve your problem, any negative comments about WACOM come from those trying to work with a stylus. Archicad with a stylus is tedious.

The WACOM mouse is a lightweight [no battery], multi-button mouse that glides on the tablet surface. It is so light that you can push it with different grips to relieve your wrist.

The main difference is that being so light, you can hold it in many different ways. I find that most mouses need a precise, repetitive grip to hit the buttons correctly.
