I use windows xp professional. I installed a service pack 2. This is my private computer. In the control panel>user account, I`m the computer administrator. I can`t remember, that I ever typed a password during the setup process of xp.

Maybe I should format the hard disc and install a fresh version of windows xp.

when i try to start the installation process of archicad, a message appers: "You do not have enough privileges to install this application. Please log on as a member of the Administrators group and begin installing ArchiCAD 12 again"

In the control panel, in the user accounts, I`m registered as the computer administrator.
When I click the right button on setup.exe>run as..., I have the possibility to choose Administrator, but don`t know the password. I don`t even remember that I took a password for Administrator mode

Which OS?

You have to have Admin privileges to install Archicad. As it says. It depends on your local setup how to get them. If this is not your private computer, get the person who manages the computers around to show you how.
