topic Mac OSX 10.6.4 update and graphics 'issue' in Installation & update

<T>I have noticed a small glitch in my 20" iMac since I installed the latest OSX 10.6.4 update. While working hard in the 3D window, I am getting a crazy screen effect. This especially happens when I have two or more copies of ArchiCAD open and am working in the 3D window in both.
I understand from a mac rumors website that the Valve software company who have recently ported games onto the mac platform are having issues with NVIDIA graphics cards under heavy load.

their advice is not to run the software update yet as apple and NVIDIA are looking into the issue.

In terms of ArchiCAD, I find that if my screen goes crazy, simply hide ArchiCAD and bring it back again. That seems to repair it.
At lease it is not as bad as the earlier issues of the smashed screen effect that required either sleep or a total crash shutdown.</T>
