topic quicktime error in Installation & update

hi, i've encountered a problem with my archicad 13 installation, which i've noticed other people have gotten, which is the whole "quicktime is outdated/missing/etc.." error.

I have windows 7 64 bit edition as well as 64 bit version of archicad, and i've also read your proposed solutions of browsing through the installation disk to find a certain file. However, the problem lies in that I am a student and I downloaded the installation file off the graphisoft website and don't own the physical disk. what do i do?

Download the QuickTime installer from Apple.

already did, about 3 times.

are these files only in the professional version of quicktime? because i only installed the basic package...

QuickTime Pro is not required. Seems QuickTime is not installing correctly or for some reason ArchiCAD isn't seeing it. Have you run QuickTime to be sure it's working?

yeah, quicktime works fine. i've uninstalled & reinstalled a bunch of times as well.
