Can't Launch Archicad 14

I downloaded the trial version of Archicad 14, but when I try to open it, it freezes. I saw the FAQ about this and video cards but I'm not very technical and don't know how to use the info. Can someone help me please?

Please list your hardware, memory, OS, 64bit, etc. This info will be necessary before you can get the best responses possible.

HP Notebook, Windows 7, 64 bit, 167 gb free. Does that help?

Does the installer do this or it is that ArchiCAD installs correctly then it freezes when you try to run it?
Is there any error message displayed?

1) To find your computers graphics info: Go to the HP website type your HP laptop name and number, "HP-G72" or such, into the search box. Look up the specified graphics accelarator card or built in chip (more likely). Then look up on graphic manuf web site for the spec of your chip. What you are looking for is support of OpenGL 2. You may have to really hunt this info down. IF your graphic chip does not support OpenGL 2 or higher, that might be the problem.

2) Where does it freeze? Before splash screen? Upon request to open a file? Once file is open? During a command?

3) Did you accept all default file locations, etc., when installing? Did you make sure no other programs were running prior to and during installation?

4) Have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling?

5) Did you really mean notebook, not laptop? How much RAM memory? What CPU? You quoted your free hard disk space not RAM.

I've same problem on my homepc. When I started the program and a few seconds later -> not responding !?

I am having the same problem. I've downloaded and installed Archicad 14 Educational version for Mac, and when i try to launch the program i simply get a message saying it has quit unexpectedly. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times to no avail. If anyone has any suggestions i would be most grateful. I am using a macbook pro unibody with OSX Leopard.

1) double check that you meet the recommended hardware requirements.
Although 2Gb is the min., I can't see running on less that 4Gb RAM.
2) down load the program again, "clean copy" and all that.
3) defragment hard disk (not sure of the Apple term for this one).
4) reinstall
5) pray for the light of reason, then let loose...

PS.
I can't tell, are you using a Power PC?
It was discontinued by Apple and so GS dropped it too.
