AC12 Crashes on Startup

Hi Guys,

I had a look and couldn't seem to find an answer to my problem, so i thought i'd ask.

Basically i am a student running AC12 (student version) on Mac OS X.5.6 and at the end of last semester i was running it no problem. The holidays have come and gone and now i'm back at uni i went to fire up archicad and i get the building picture and the student version disclaimer but after that nothing happens and the program stops responding. Any clues?

I have tried reinstalling the software... downloaded it again and made sure my registration was up to date but no luck the same thing keeps happening.

Hope someone can help, i'm out of ideas.

OK well since i havn't had any luck finding a solution. I decided to go to the drastic measure of reinstalling mac os x. Which worked... until i updated it to the latest version 10.5.6 telling me there must be an incompatibility problem. Has anyone else struck this? and is there a solution other than not updating my OS.
